Take Me to Funky Town!
|
[London], May 3, 2012 -
'Funky Town' came to Bolesworth Castle on 26th April 2012 for a fabulous 70s inspired fashion event.
The historic grand venue was transformed for the joint fashion
show of luxury shoe designer Cleo Barbour of CLEO B and Sam Brightmore
from Bottega, Cheshire's premier lifestyle concept store.
The event was an opportunity to raise money for a worthy cause and
showcase the collection to Cheshire's customer base with those attending
from the worlds of press, football, equestrianism, hunting, business,
and society. The event successfully collected over £1000 for
Claire House Children's Hospice through raffle sales and percentage of sale donations from the two designers.
The shoes were the perfect match for Bottega's summer-themed
Studio 54, 70s and Miami collections. The catwalk show was an enormous
success, with feedback commenting on the eclectic yet versatile shoe
designs. Reaction to the CLEO B shoes was spectacular with one attendee
saying "The quality of these shoes is superb. I would say they are
better quality than my last pair of Louboutins!"

The event showed that CLEO B offers a fresh alternative
to the luxury shoe market and celebrated award-‐winning boutique
Bottega's positive reaction to the shoes. With a unique boutique feel,
designer Cleo Barbour chose to avoid stereotypes of shoes aimed at trend
followers and targets customers wishing to add a quirky twist to a
well-‐made, flattering style. CLEO B is proud to offers bold yet
wearable shoes, with an option for anyone and every occasion. "Take Me
To Funky Town" has made clear that the kookiest of shoes suit country
society life soundly.
"It was a fabulous experience being able to showcase my collection
in my own family home, especially alongside Bottega's beautiful summer
clothes," said Cleo.
"The collections complimented each other perfectly.
The intimate gathering of Sam's long standing customers and Cheshire
high flyers was the perfect audience for CLEO B and I now know that
there will be much demand for CLEO B in the North West. My brand has
been officially welcomed and the opportunity to build on this success
has been opened up to me."
Sam, of the acclaimed Bottega boutique, was delighted with the show.
"It was so encouraging to see my clients' excited reaction to the CLEO B collection in this environment," Sam said.
"Most independents are stocking all too similar brands of
footwear and it is truly refreshing to be able to have a brand like CLEO
B that can appeal to a wide audience and age range, which the event has
certainly proved".
Cleo Barbour - CLEO B has been shortlisted for the Drapers Footwear and Accessories Award 2012, with results announced on 3rd May 2012.
